Is "burgeoning womanhood" being written by young folk?

Personally, I've got it in for "pregnant with meaning".

Maybe a sentence like this?

"To these gentle pre-Sun Worshipping people, the burgeoning womanhood of the Gaia Figure was inextricably linked to the bowels of the earth."

The trouble with burgeoning womanhood is that it reminds me of that sprouting potato we were discussing the other day.

It does sound rather uncomfortable, doesn't it? It always makes me think of this horrible hereditary thing I get from time to time which my mother (quaintly and, one would hope, inaccurately) refers to as "your ovaries turning over". Never knew they were so restless!
