Can it be four years already? I remember first seeing the photograph of "bile beans" on your blog and thinking how it reminded me of the exterior wall of Quirks deli in Redfern (cnr Pitt and Well sts.) This is when I began work in Redfern in August 04. Everytime I bought coffee of a caramel slice from Quirks (all too often) I would gaze at its designer crumbly wall bearing some early 20th century ad slogan and think of Lexicon Harlot's "bile beans".

That's the nicest thing anyone's said all day, Kingsley. Thank you.
For he/she/it's a jolly good website,
For he/she/it's a jolly good website,
For he/she/it's a jolly good website,
And so say all of us!
Thanks, Mr Timnus. My young people introduced me a few years ago to variant lyrics:
For she's a soggy marshmallow,
For she's a soggy marshmallow,
For she's a soggy marshmallow,
And sausages on the bus.
