Just wondering

What's the onomatopoeic term for a herd of rampaging fleas suddenly launching onto one's shins like a hundred little iron filings sucked up by a giant magnet?

A floughmpsh of fleas.

Floughmpsh is a portmanteau verb of my own derivation - you won't find it in any of those 'orthodox' dictionaries.

(Pauses here for an appropriate bout of sneering.)

It rolls in flounce, flump, thump, lump, tough, rough, rush, mush, and of course flea, fly, and flew into a handy-dandy one-syllable word.

Ha. I win. At everything. Forever. What have I won? Besides the infinite and everlasting admiration of all the world's peoples, plants, animals, protozoans and vegan ice cream distilleries, I mean.
