i do believe you may have had an encounter with a Haigh's frog cDecember 2000 (in the days before Haigh's shops sprouted up all over the place: when Haigh's frogs were Adelaide frogs). Unless I have forgotten that I ate it before giving it to you.
Dim recollections of distant bliss ... actually, I seem to recall some apple flavoured chocolate round that time (which doesn't necessarily sound so wonderful, but emphatically was).
I think you definitely must have lost consciousness! I assure you the dark ones are even more ravishing, unless you're not a dark chocolate person... Have you been to Koko Black? It's in one of the older arcades down there, can't remember the name. The various chocolate beverages served there are very elaborate.
I'll put Koko Black on my itinerary for next month's Walking Tour of Melburnean Chocolate Emporia. Thanks for the tip! If you've got any more, sling 'em my way.
It's the Royal Arcade for Koko Black. I've got lots more. I make it my business to know these things! I suppose you already know that St Kilda is *the* place for cake? Near the Koko Black place, if my memory serves me correctly (and I am thinking *all the way back* to September) there's a "Charles Dickens Tavern" (in *Victoria*, fancy that!). I can't report on the fare, as my friend refused to have dinner there, although he did agree to take photos of the signage, taking special care to include the Christmas decorations hanging off the fading fluorescent lights in the shot.

Gosh, could last night *really* have been your first time with Haigh's chocolate frogs? I hope you had the dark chocolate frogs, as they are the best.
My first time. Or if there's been a previous one, I must have lost consciousness with pleasure and forgotten.
Milk chocolate ones, I had. I can't believe the dark ones could possibly be better.

Oh, they may make you Haigh at first, but then you'll end up croaking.
Or with a frog in my throat?
I'm trying veeeeeeeeeeeeeery hard not to make a joke about French kissing...
These chocolate frogs, Tim: they're even better than snogging the citizens of France.
Not, note, that I have ever snogged a French citizen.
