Tomato-pilfering bats, TEC? They must be enjoying themselves. Nextdoor has a gigantic fig tree, and the fruit bats are holding nightly convocations in its upper branches. Sounds like they're having the best time ever. I sneak the odd fig over the fence (don't tell anyone).
It's a powerful statement for our times of bewilderment and alienation in response to the echoey depths of the salad bowl.
